This course is taught side by side: you drive, Roger navigates.

Google Business Profile coaching in Davidson

A written checklist for your Maps listing, worked through side by side. The login never leaves your hands.

Method

Your listing, your login. We coach; you click.

Sit on a bench by the Village Green, type "coffee near me" into your phone, and before a single website appears you get a small map holding three pins. For a lot of shoppers, that trio is the whole decision.

Each pin is a Google Business Profile. Which ones earn a spot depends on the category chosen, how fully the profile is filled in, the reviews behind it, and the distance to whoever is searching. You can't move your building closer, but everything else is in your hands, and a filled-in listing that agrees with your website is frequently the fastest improvement open to a Davidson business.

How the course works

Roger doesn't run your listing for you. You receive a written checklist built for your profile, and the two of you go through it on a shared screen, with Roger explaining why each field matters while you type. The edits happen inside your own Google account, so we never need manager access and your listing never has an outside owner.

By the end you'll be able to maintain it without help. Clients on a monthly SEO plan get listing tasks folded into the monthly work.

Town events change foot traffic. Special hours tell people you're open for them.

The checklist, field by field

  1. 01

    Primary category

Google leans on this one field harder than any other. Pick a near miss and the searches you care about go to a competitor.

  2. 02

    Secondary categories

Two or three at most, and each one has to match a job you'd happily book this week.

  3. 03

    Contact details

Your business name, street address and number should read character for character like the footer of your website, suite and ZIP included.

  4. 04

    Storefront or service area

A Main Street shop lets customers see the address. A painter or plumber working out of a truck can keep a home address hidden and name the towns covered.

  5. 05

    Regular and holiday hours

Up to date all year, with special hours set ahead of busy local weekends like Christmas in Davidson.

  6. 06

    Services and products

Listed in the plain words a customer would use, each pointing at its own page on your site.

  7. 07

    Photos

Fresh pictures of finished jobs, your space and your crew, added a few at a time rather than all at once.

  8. 08

    Reviews

An easy link to send after a job, and a reply from you under each review, good or bad.

Where the profile and the website meet

A listing earns more when its links lead somewhere worth landing. When each service on the profile points to its own page on a properly built website, Google and the customer both follow one clean path from the map pin to the answer.

FAQ

Office hours: Google profiles

Questions owners ask before they sign up.

Do I have to add you as a manager on the listing?

Never. You stay logged in to your own account and click the buttons; Roger coaches from the other side of a shared screen. Ownership and access don't change hands at any point.

When will we notice a difference?

Correcting a mistaken category or an outdated number tends to register in a matter of weeks. The payoff from steady photos and reviews arrives more gradually.

There's no shopfront. Does a profile still matter?

It does. A business that travels to customers can hide its street address and show a service area made up of the towns it works in.

Can you bring in more reviews for us?

We'll help you build a habit of asking and make leaving one painless for satisfied customers. Paying for reviews, swapping them or writing them is off the table.
